Virginia Lt. Gov. & Attorney Gen. Honor Lee & Jackson Virginia Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling and Attorney General Bob McDonnell each recently released statements honoring Generals Lee and Jackson in recognition of the Lee-Jackson state holiday in the commonwealth. We’ve reproduced the statements below for your enjoyment. It’s nice to know that political correctness has not seized the moral fortitude of all elected officials in the land. SCVNEWS - Time to submit bids for 2011 Reunion The time is rapidly approaching when a meeting of the Time and Place Committee will be held to hear bids for the 2011 Reunion. If your Camp, Brigade of Division is interested in submitting a bid for the 2011 reunion please contact me no later than January 10, 2008 to express your interest in submitting a bid. 2008 Reunion Info The 2007 Reunion is just recently behind us, but it's not too early to start making your plans for next year in Mt. Pleasant/Concord North Carolina (North of Charlotte), July 16-20 2008. For those who made the extra convention the SCV had in Concord before, there are brand new facilities with lots of amenities, much better than we had in 2005. Unlike the traditional approach of a main hotel, there will be several hotels making rooms available. Below is current hotel information, and a link to a .pdf pre-registration form that you can fill in and print is to the left. Registration costs $60 until 10/1/07, $70 until March 2, 2008, $80 until July 1, 2008, and will be $85.00 at the door. Click here for more information
