Established in 2005 as a forum for historical scholarship in defense of the cause for which the Confederate Soldier fought. the Stephen D. Lee Institute is the SCV's initiative to combat the present barrage of libels against the Confederate soldier and his cause. Institutes already held in South Carolina, Texas, Georgia, and Virginia received rave reviews.
